Additional Costs

✧ Time Lapse/"Speedpaint" video - $10 (will be refunded if the recording is lost or other problems arise preventing it from being completed).

✧ Abstract Backgrounds - $5 - $20 depending on size and elements.

✧ Scenic Backgrounds - $30 - $150 depending on size and complexity. (On flat colors and shaded pieces, a basic background (block of color with texture if desired) is included in the base price.)

✧ Increased price for high detail (defined as a level of intricacy that will significantly add to completion time) will be estimated before the order is made official, but may change during the sketching phase.

✧ Body hair will incur a surcharge.

✧ Gore is an additional 50%. See this page for gore examples. [18+]

✧ Taur Tax is determined upon ordering depending on how much of the body is showing. You are asking for two characters in one, you are paying more for that.

✧ Wing Tax is $30 per fully visible feathered wing. This does not apply to mammalian or insectoid wings.

✧ Large areas of metallic, reflective, iridescent, opalescent, pearlescent, holographic, or other materials that require rendering beyond the shadow layer will be an additional charge. The amount will be determined based on how large the area is.

✧ There is no discount for additional characters; there will be at minimum a 100% increase with an additional charge depending on the complexity of interaction. A quote is required before a multi-character order can be placed.

General Information

✧ I have ADHD; I'm on medication for it but in the face of the current Adderall shortage what I am currently on is insufficient compared to what actually works for me; I will do my best to complete orders in a timely fashion, but I will need your patience and understanding if progress feels slow and for you to work with me on aspects such as needing clear communication so your order goes smoothly for both of us.

✧ Estimated turnaround ranges between 1 week to up to 5 months depending on the complexity of the piece and the number of revisions. Delays can happen, and when they do all clients will be notified. A more accurate estimate will be provided on the invoice.

✧ I do not work going down the order list, nor are my commissions first come first serve. I'll work on them in whatever order happens, client response times permitting, so do note that ordering first does not guarantee completed first.

✧ I draw big; 15x15" 350dpi is my minimum base canvas; 18x24" 400dpi for scenes. On finished pieces, the minimum dimension for height and/or width is 15" unless the client specifies otherwise. This does not apply to pixel work, sketches, or chibis.

✧ I have three rendering styles available for full render pieces and icons:
Default - utilizes mainly layer modes to indicate form
Cell - utilizes layer modes and sharp shapes to indicate form
Painterly - colors are manually selected for the shadows and highlights, with layer modes used to indicate mood

✧ I feather the edges of markings on fur; if you'd like a crisp edge please mention this prior to the coloring stage.

✧ I'll send an update and wait for approval at each stage, and it is on you as the client to provide a solid affirmation that it's okay to continue or if edits should be made. I will not continue work before receiving one or the other. Do note that once I have moved past a stage the likelihood of me making edits to it drops dramatically. In other words, once colors have been added a change to the lineart no longer counts as a reasonable free edit, and will incur an additional cost. I do not have an upper limit on edits, but please do not be the person who makes me add one.

✧ While I can work from a description, it makes the process much smoother if visuals of some sort are also included. With words alone I cannot guarantee I'll be able to draw what you're looking for, and you will most likely be turned down. Photos, scribbles, mood boards, and so on are acceptable visuals.

✧ Prices are based on the general assumption that orders will require a mid-range level of detail; if what you wish to get is on the simpler end the price your pay may actually be less than what's listed.

✧ If you lose your file: yes, I probably do still have it! I don't delete any of my art files, they all get backed up to an external drive, however this is not a safeguard against file loss so please understand this is not a guarantee. You'll need to remind me of what year it was done, but I can retrieve it for you.

How it Works

✧ First you should either fill out the order form, or if you're unsure about any aspect contact me so I can answer your questions. All orders, save for in stream sketches, need to go through the form so I can keep track of all the necessary details.

✧ After you've submitted the form I will contact you to let you know if it's been accepted. If it has been, I'll confirm everything with you then send an invoice to your provided email address. This does not have to be paid immediately, but the sooner it's paid the better.

✧ After the invoice is sent I'll start drawing up sketches, running them by you so you can pick the one you like best and give input so we can get it going in the direction you want. After we've nailed down the pose, this is when the invoice should be paid if it hasn't already. If it isn't paid when I'm ready to present the refined sketch, you'll get a small and watermarked preview of it until it is paid.

✧ Once payment has been received I'll send the WIP shots at full size for approval at each stage, as well as to show progress if I have yet to complete the stage. These are your chances to look it over and ask for changes before I get to a point where they'd be too much work to do for free. Don't feel like you need to respond as soon as you can, you can sit on it for a few days and look it over until you're certain. Once approved I will move on to the next stage.

✧ If you want changes I will make them and send that update for approval, and I will not move on to the next stage until you're happy with the current one.

✧ Once it's done you'll receive the full resolution file, a .50% resolution version, and a .25% resolution version of it for posting publicly.

✧ For references that are game renders, I will need a full turnaround in good lighting as well as detail shots of clothing in as high resolution as you can provide. I am not going to do guesswork off of insufficient aesthetic shots. Example
