✧ As I am based in the United States all works ordered from me are subject to the bounds of U.S. copyright law and such will be enforced.
✧ I RETAIN THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ANY ORDER AT MY OWN DISCRETION. If an order request is declined I do not owe an explanation as to why, but if asked I will most likely give the reasoning.
✧ COMMISSIONS ARE NOT TO BE RE-POSTED WITHOUT MY SIGNATURE, WATERMARK, AND A LINK BACK TO MY PAGE. Which page? This site and my profile on the site it's being posted on are the preferred ones. If I have already uploaded your commission to a social site I ask that you please fav/like/share/ect. my post rather than reuploading it under your name.
✧ ON REFUNDS: - A full refund will be granted if for any reason I am unable to deliver the client's order in a timely fashion. - If a contract is ended due to client behavior, a 10% deposit will be kept for my time on top of the amount equal to the work completed. - A refund will NOT be granted in situations such as over-spending on the client's end. I'm sorry, but I'm not your bank, you don't get to withdraw funds you sent to me. - There will never be a reason to file a chargeback. If you try to hit me with one I will fight it tooth and nail as well as warn other artists about you.
✧ I RETAIN THE RIGHT TO USE COMMISSIONED IMAGES IN EXAMPLES AND PROMOTIONS FOR MY OWN BUSINESS. However, I'm not unreasonable, and if you'd rather your image not be used for one reason or another you just need to let me know when the order is being discussed. I would rather not have a request to not use something as an example after using it as one.
✧ COMMISSIONS ARE FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY. You can use it as a computer/phone background, as icons online, as a personal print in your house, things that don't entail production and redistribution without my written permission. Commissions do not fall under work-for-hire and all rights are inherent to me until an explicit contract is signed off on granting otherwise. Any cases of commercial usage, defined as production and redistribution for profit or other personal gain, being carried out without commercial rights will be fought in a court of law. ✧ DO NOT SHARE THE FULL RESOLUTION FILES. They have appended metadata for proof of ownership, but sharing them anywhere invites people to steal them. I won't even put the full resolution images of commissions on Patreon, it is for the client exclusively.
✧ COMMISSIONS ARE NOT TO BE USED IN ANY RELATION TO BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY. This includes but is not limited to cryptocurrency exchanges, cryptocurrency tokens, non-fungible tokens, and any future use cases that may be developed.
✧ NO PAYMENT, NO PRODUCT. When I say it's time to send payment, all further progress will halt until it is received. This would be at the rough stage for sketches, and after approval of the refined sketch for everything else. Spec work is completely off the table; if your project does not have a budget up front I will not do work for it. Under no circumstances will I accept cryptocurrency as payment. Any attempt to pay using cryptocurrencies will result in the order being terminated and the client being permanently blacklisted.
✧ I WILL KEEP YOU UPDATED, THERE'S NO REASON TO RUSH ME. My trello board will always reflect any delays that come up, and I actively communicate where I am on commissions both on the board and directly with my clients. My ETA is not long. If you have a specific date in mind for completion, I need at least one month's notice; if your deadline is under a month away I'm sorry, but I will not take your order.
✧ I WILL NOT COPY OTHER ARTISTS' STYLES. Your reason for coming to me should be to see my iteration of your concept in my style, not to have me rip off someone else's. I WILL, however, do my best to style match on reference sheet edits.
✧ EDITS ARE OKAY, TO AN EXTENT. As noted in the general information, edits should be requested before giving me the approval to move to the next stage. After I have moved on an edit to a previous stage will become an additional charge, as stated on the prices page. This said, if you want something extremely specific I am not the artist for you.
✧ PLEASE KEEP PROGRESS SHOTS PRIVATE. While I may want to share progress in some places, what I post will usually be screenshots and not full res. The progress checks I send will be full size¹ and lacking my signature and watermark, they are purely for the client to use to determine if anything needs edited before continuing. If you'd like to share progress on what you've ordered please ask for an alternative version to do so with.
✧ THERE ARE CERTAIN LINES OF THOUGHT I FIND COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE, AND WOULD PREFER NOT TO DO BUSINESS WITH ANYONE WHO HOLDS THEM. Possessing any of the listed ideologies will be see as a violation of my terms and thus a violation of our contract. On some levels it is personal, on others it's for business image. When a person is found and/or called out for something, artists who have done business with them can be, and often are, wrongly accused of sharing the same views. I'd rather not be on the receiving end of that. Things that will result in being refused as a customer includes, but is not limited to: transphobia, homophobia, racism, openly identifying as a pedophile or supporting people who do, openly identifying as a zoophile or supporting people who do, and holding alt-right/fascist views. If something along these lines is found before the order is confirmed it will be denied, and if something is found after work has started I will finish whatever phase I'm on, keep the appropriate payment up to that point with an additional 10% fee, refund the rest, and then mark the order as cancelled. ✧ I WILL DRAW: Any species, any identity, high detail, mecha, body horror/gore, nudity, just about anything that isn't listed below!
✧ I WILL NOT DRAW: Anything that would very likely set off trypophobia and/or holes made by parasitic bugs, fanart as a commission², characters referred to using slurs (c*ntboy, tr*p, f*ta, h*rm, etc.), disproportionately large breasts³, humanoid babies/toddlers.
✧ NSFW INCLUDES "SFW" FETISHES. Yes, I will know.
¹ This excludes communication outside of email. ² If you want to see me draw a franchise character you can suggest it to me, but there will be no guarantee that I will draw them. Do not treat this as an invitation for detailed requests. ³ Case by case.
✧ THIS PAGE IS MERELY A FORMALITY Without my written signature on a formal contract outlining commercial usage rights you as the client have none. This is how the law works. Contractual freelance employment is work for hire, you commissioning me as an individual is not.
How it Works
✧ First you should either fill out the order form, or if you're unsure about any aspect contact me so I can answer your questions. All orders, save for in stream sketches, need to go through the form so I can keep track of all the necessary details.
✧ After you've submitted the form I will contact you to let you know if it's been accepted. If it has been, I'll confirm everything with you then send an invoice to your PayPal email address. This does not have to be paid immediately, but the sooner it's paid the better.
✧ After the invoice is sent I'll start drawing up sketches, running them by you so you can pick the one you like best and give input so we can get it going in the direction you want. After we've nailed down the pose, this is when the invoice should be paid if it hasn't already. If it isn't paid when I'm ready to present the refined sketch, you'll get a small and watermarked preview of it until it is paid.
✧ Once payment has been received I'll send the WIP shots at full size for approval at each stage, as well as to show progress if I have yet to complete the stage. These are your chances to look it over and ask for changes before I get to a point where they'd be too much work to do for free. Don't feel like you need to respond as soon as you can, you can sit on it for a few days and look it over until you're certain. Once approved I will move on to the next stage.
✧ If you want changes I will make them and send that update for approval, and I will not move on to the next stage until you're happy with the current one.
✧ Once it's done you'll receive the full resolution file and a .50% resolution version of it, indicated by a dash at the end of the file name, for posting publicly.
✧ For references that are game renders, I will need a full turnaround as well as detail shots of clothing in as high resolution as you can provide. Example
